Hand and Lock have 250 years of experience embellishing, embroidering and monogramming garments for the Royal family, the military and fashion houses including Dior, Hermes and Louis Vuitton.
The Hand and Lock Prize for Embroidery was established in 2000 and is a prestigious global embroidery prize celebrating excellence in the craftsmanship of embroidery. Created to promote and preserve the art of embroidery and textiles as a historic craft and a contemporary art.
This year The Prize for Embroidery will be exhibited in London before showcasing the finalists and winners from this year’s 2023 Prize at the Knitting and Stitching Show, Harrogate. After being inspired by the exhibition, Hand and Lock will have a range of high end products to purchase and create your own embroidery.
