The Irish Patchwork Society was founded over 30 years ago and currently has approximately 600 members in 8 branches throughout the country. All members volunteer their time to run the society on a local and national level, organizing meetings and workshops throughout the year. As a society we embrace and promote both traditional and modern techniques and skills. Our members work in the community, tirelessly giving of their time to raise money for worthy causes.

We have a loud voice in the online Global quilting network, participating and creating collaborative worldwide pieces of quilting art. We have many internationally respected Art Quilters pushing the boundaries with their masterful work.

Members give of their time to teach in schools ensuring that the future of our craft will continue for future generations and as a society we’re opening our arms to a new Young Quilters’ group. Small groups meet weekly throughout the country in each other’s homes to learn and create work, to share skills and friendship, to offer help and support.

The Irish Patchwork Society is a truly unique group of extraordinary individuals united by the common love of creating with fabric and thread.
Visitors are most welcome to come along to any branch meeting to explore what the society is all about and information regarding membership will be available on the gallery throughout the show.
