Hand Painted Landscape with Hare

By Angela Daymond

About

In this workshop you will learn about how to paint your fabric and threads using fabric paint to create a beautiful and unique landscape.

You can of course use your own fabric paints as these will work; just think of the landscape and nature when you are choosing your colours. As Angela uses plant base dyes to make the paints there are a limited number of workshop packs available.

During the workshop you will learn different ways of applying paints to both fabrics and threads to create different effects including blending colours. You will learn how to create a landscape and then paint some brown fabric in readiness to appliqué a hare onto your landscape.

During the workshop you will be able to dry your work with a hair dryer so that the focus can change to the stitch. Angela will show you how stitch can create movement and perspective to your work, she will also talk about different types of hand appliqué.

This is suitable for all abilities.
