Children are very welcome at The Knitting & Stitching Show, in fact we actively encourage you to bring your little ones and get them involved in craft. There are plenty of opportunities for children of ages to have a go at knitting, crochet, embroidery and more.

Activities

Although we don’t have a Children’s area as such, there are a number of things your children will enjoy at the show.

UK Hand Knitting drop-ins

Learn the basics of knitting and crochet, including casting on and off and some of the simple stitches. Whatever level your kids are at they can have a go and be shown by the experts.

Workshops

Many of the workshops in the Learning Curve are suitable for children as long as they have adult supervision. The price is the same as it covers materials and tuition, but there are hundreds on offer. Places sell fast so advance booking is advisable.

Facilities

There are baby changing facilities within the main ladies toilets.

It’s fine to bring a buggy and the show is on one level, but please be aware the show can be crowded.

To avoid the crowds the best days to visit are Thursday 26th from 2pm – 5.30pm, or Sunday 29th November.

That said, our number one priority is to ensure we protect the health and wellbeing of our visitors and exhibitors, and we will closely follow the government and their medical advisers’ recommendations to ensure we do this.

If the show is unable to go ahead we will issue a refund for all tickets and workshops booked via See Tickets, (if you booked through a third party please contact them directly). We won’t take risks with your safety and we will do as the Government advises.
