Accessibility at Harrogate Convention Centre

We’re keen to ensure people of all abilities can access and enjoy The Knitting & Stitching Show.

Any visitor who is registered disabled is able to claim a free ticket for a carer to accompany them to the show. Carer tickets can be added at the time of your booking.

A carer ticket accompanying a VIP ticket holder will not receive all of the extra benefits in the VIP package.

If you need to hire a wheelchair or scooter, please contact one of the following companies:

– Shopmobility Harrogate (01423 556778)
– Yorkshire Care (01423 799960)

There are a limited number of disabled parking spaces, allocated on a first-come-first-served basis.

There is Blue Badge parking in Harrogate Convention Centre’s underground car park with direct lift access to Entrance One of our Auditorium.

If you are using entrances Four or Five, the nearest and most accessible car park is Jubilee, which is free for Blue Badge holders.

There are fixed-loop hearing systems at our main reception desk and in the Auditorium, while Royal Hall is equipped with the latest infrared hearing system. Temporary loops are available for demos in The Creative Living Theatre.

The Knitting & Stitching Shows are accessible for disabled visitors. We use 6 halls at the Harrogate Convention Centre, most of which are on one level. There is a wheelchair lift to access Hall Q.

There are designated spaces for wheelchair users in both the Auditorium and Royal Hall and we have accessible toilets throughout the venue.

There are several disabled toilets at the venue, and we try to keep aisles as wide as possible. Please be aware that this is a very busy show and it can get congested at peak times.
