“Tea Flora Tales an ongoing stitched collaboration started its life at the Knitting and Stitching Show 2012, was added to at The European Patchwork Meeting in 2014 and is still growing. The project reflects the need to preserve our wildflowers and related habitat and raises awareness of the work of the charity Plantlife. Contributions posted from all over the world have begun to feature poppies, cornflowers, forget-me-nots, rosemary and other flowers associated with ‘remembrance referencing the ‘peace’ to be found in the landscape and natural world as we approach the centenary of the end of WW1

With the support of the Embroiderers Guild, The Knitting and Stitching Show UK and Nadelwelt Karlsruhe it is fitting that this project will be have its final showing in 2018. The exhibition also marks the publication of Cas Holmes fourth book ‘Textile Landscape’ (Batsford publication) and will include some work represented in the book.”

“Cas was inviting people to join her in making little squares for Tea-Flora-Tales – I like a good square.. I sat down and made one,. ( I can honestly say that 10 minutes was the one serene; calming few moments of the day!)” –  Emma (visitor to show)

Cas’s new book ‘Textile Landscape’  has just launched. see the press release here for more information
