Textile making in lockdown

With lockdown causing closure of creative spaces, many of us have been unable to come together and share our passion for crafts.

To fill this empty gap, artist Ruth Singer has created an eBook and podcast for the Gawthorpe Textiles Collection, a Lancashire-based textile museum. Her eBook and podcast share stories of the hope and challenges faced by both textile hobby makers and professionals around the world. It includes tales and reflections of how they have got through the struggles of lockdown; everything from battling creative block, to making PPE and collaborating virtually.

Take a listen and be inspired by some amazing stories. The podcast and eBook are available and free to download on the Gawthorpe Textiles Collection website.
